The European Delirium Association is excited to announce the 2024 Annual Meeting at Madurodam, The Hague in the Netherlands. Our annual meeting will cover state of the art delirium research and clinical practice across multiple disciplines. The European Delirium Association Conference will be held from November 6th to 8th, 2024.

This year’s keynote speakers will be:

Virtual Critical Care: lessons for Interprofessional Teamwork by Björn Weiss, Anesthesiologist-Intensivist, Charité Universitätsmedizin, Berlin

Delirium in the Palliative Phase by Meera Agar, professor of palliative medicine, University of Technology, Sydney

Delirium prevention, detection and management: A holistic approach by Carsten Hermes, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Bonn

Pre-conference day

The EDA annual meeting 2024 will take place on 7 and 8 November 2024. This year, there will also be a pre-conference day, on Wednesday November 6th. The pre-conference day has two parallel programs. For nurses, physiotherapists and other (para)medical healthcare providers, we’re organizing an interactive teaching day with workshops & sessions with relevance for everyday practice.

For delirium experts who are interested in basic sciences, we’re organizing apathophysiology symposium, with in-depth lectures and discussions with the experts. The pre-conference day can be booked separately, registration for the main conference is not mandatory.

Nestled in The Hague, Madurodam offers a truly unique setting, where delegates can explore iconic Dutch landmarks, picturesque landscapes, and intricate architectural marvels—all within a compact and accessible space. With its blend of charm, innovation, and historical significance, Madurodam provides an inspiring backdrop for your conference, fostering creativity, collaboration, and unforgettable experiences.

Madurodam has a central location and is easy to reach by public transport from the stations Den Haag Centraal and Den Haag Hollands Spoor. You can reach Madurodam in 10 minutes by bus or tram from either station.
